About
Music
I fell in love with the live arts a long time ago - everything between theater, reggae, funk, orchestra, ballet, opera, and the guy strumming banjo at the bar across the street.

I like making the art too - I teach and design shows for high school level marching bands. Currently, I teach percussion ensemble at Owen J. Roberts HS in Pottstown, PA.
Writing
I was born into a family that migrated from Ahmedabad, Gujarat to Pennsylvania in the mid-90s. Like many other South Asian immigrants and their kids, I grew up working in my family’s businesses including convenience stores, motels, and franchise food places. I now live and work in Philadelphia.

I am motivated to write about how the moral compass of South Asian families gets tested when they emigrate to foreign lands, take a seat in the more blue-collar jobs, and meet a Western world that feels as frayed as the country they just left.

Business
I now live and work in Philadelphia, where I've made a career helping Philly start-ups get off the ground.
I get excited about organizations that are trying to improve our economy such that everyday people don't have to 'beat the odds' to live a just and fulfilling life.

I am a proud alum of Boston University.
